Brake calipers- 4 or 6 pot
Looking at getting some chrome brake calipers for my Heritage.Have looked at the HD ones and they are 4 pot i believe.
What other good ones are out there and is 6 pot overkill or is 4 pot suffice.
Thanks in advance.
With that said I just bought a 6 PM brake from HOGPRO and a 4 rear. Was talking to PM before that and he said a 6pot can handle stopping a fully loaded bagger HD, and their brakes are differential bore. So why not, if I loaded down my Fatboy, I want all the stopping power anyways, PM makes a fine brake, prob one of the best. You can find the fronts for about 400-500 and the rears a bit more(more chrome) 450-500
Only thing people dislike PM bakes is their logo stamped outside it, but HD all over everything else and usually something like V&H stamped on ur pipes, and Dunlop on ur tires ...etc.. I didn't have a problem with it. Hawg Halters is an alternative to Performance Machine Brake and HH have no logo on them and have differential bores, and I am sure there are quite a few more out there to chose from.
I have the rears on now, fronts going on Friday
