I'm still watching the progress of the new M8s and 2018 softies. looks like there are few outfits fixing the lame swing arm situation. I'm sure more will come.
So far theres ODC and the that still unnamed shop that mande the swing arm for the speed merchant demo bike.
What is the "lame" situation dude ? I own and ride one and the rear ride is so much better than any other Softail I've ridden, even bikes with Fournales or other name brand aftermarket aren't anywhere near as good. I get that it's a little heavy ,shoot it's a Harley they're heavy. They saved 8 pounds I saved over 6 with a muffler swap , don't get me wrong I'd love a lighter HD but those swing arms will cost over a grand each if not more.
there is no lame situation with the stock rear end man it's just a stock rear end.
Looks like a sport bike rear end. Its almost 20 lbs lighter than last years dyna when it comes to the street bob. If u want something light with a croch rocket rear end... get a croch rocket. That single swing arm looks stupid on a Harley. Softails are suppose to look like hard tails not cbrs. Haha

Yo I would have a stock looking aftermarket swing arm in Titanium though if it didn't cost thousands.Yea that ally thing looks rice.
If you were really concerned about weight saving and performance, you could probably start with diet and exercise. Would probably cost less to take off 8 pounds than buying a new swingarm.

Looks like Ohlins are now mass producing new shocks and front end cartridge kits for the new M8 Softails. Maybe down the track I might look at upgrading the suspension when it's needed, from carrying my fat *** around!
then its not for you... simple as that. Folks aren't developing them because nobody wants them. It's the opposite situation. If you dont get it, thats cool. Keep rolling stock. No shame in it a all.
not everyone is into stock. No reason to be threatened by stuff other than what you like.
