Default '01 fatboy w/EFI won't crank
with a fresh battery installed, I turn the ignition and place switch to RUN... the lights come on and the fuel pump can be heard operating. I hit the START switch and nothing happens. I tried "tapping" the starter while hitting the switch and nothing. The bike was operating normally in January but has been garage kept since then.

Is there a loose grounding wire for the starter?

Bad relay, starter switch, or starter. Jump the starter to see if it cranks. If the starter is good check the relay, then the switch. Could be corrosion at the starter pole.
