Mine came with black fasteners; perhaps yours was ordered earlier? I ditched the bottom ones in favor of my Willie G skull license plate bolts. Necessitated drilling a bigger hole through the CD plate holder, but they're on now.
You DO have a choice! That screw is in the centre portion of the tire, so you can almost certainly just have it professionally plugged from the inside with a mushroom head plug.
Looks like you have some kind of sealant in there already? Just ride the bike to a reputable bike tire shop and have them plug it properly. They will tell you if it will be OK or not, but I have ridden many thousands of high speed, highway miles on tires with plugged wounds like that with no issue.
Don't just do a DIY job from the outside and call it done whatever you do!
I've been combing through the literature I got with the bike and found that Dunlop recommends using that type of plug/patch. Of course the HD dealer won't do it so I was thinking of removing the wheel and taking it to a tire shop to have it done. I just don't have a service manual yet and don't know the procedure or torque specs for removing the rear wheel on this bike. I also have never had a bike with ABS so I don't know if wheel removal would affect anything with the ABS? Any help and suggestions on this are appreciated. Also I don't know if I could trust a tire shop with removing and installing my wheel properly. I've done plenty of my own work on my Sporty but this seems like a totally different animal and I need a service manual to study and familiarize myself with this bike and how to work on it. Can't find any videos or literature online about tire removal on this bike either.

remove stock bracket, get bolt-on license plate relocation kit now shipping with black fasteners, add CD LED frame and LHS HD stalk, install. cleans up back end nicely.
Since we are on this topic as well, do the relocation kits come with a plate light as well? I can't tell from the pics and maybe I missed this somewhere while checking them out online?
*Never mind. I figured it out. Thanks. Will be ordering sometime in the near future.

Probably. But it was the bigger bolts that go through the fender struts that I was talking about. They were silver finish and I blacked them out with paint.
The Custom Dynamics plate frame came with black hardware.....

While you wait for your Service Manual, here the pages of the 2018 service manual for removal of rear wheel.

Right -- I figured that out later, should have edited my comment... yeah, I replaced the bolts with black ones, but it's good to see they're including black with the kit now definitely.
Welcome to the family from Alabama! I did the same thing Saturday had to have it went home with it 😎
Thanks! Nice ride. I really like the white but wasn't gonna wait around for one so I went with what they had. I still dig the black denim as well though.
I removed the wheel and tire today and go figure, no shop around here is willing to patch the tire for me so it looks like I'm off the road for a bit until the new tire comes in. At least I'm saving about 180 bucks on labor doing the work myself and the HD shop is giving me a 10% discount on the tire so that's a bit better than full price at least! It just sucks not to be able to ride my new bike but that's life so I just gotta suck it up and deal with it. Thanks again everyone for the suggestions and help. I greatly appreciate it.
