I have a 92 Fatboy, both front and rear turn signals should be on all time (rear dim), and when engaging the turn button they flash, well the left side is working properly, however the right side when in normal running the rear is not on and when pushing the turn button the rear is just solid light and the front doesnt come on at all, i connected the right front to the left and works fine, i read there is turn signal modules, i have right tank off, and all i can see are 2 male to female connectors, unless the modules are behind the left side, cant really see, and its finally getting nice in Ohio, ive only got to ride twice, thanks for any help and input, ride safe!!!!
In stock form, the rear turn signals are only turn signals and do not operate as running lights. They use a single element bulb. The front lights are turn signals and running lights and use a 2 element bulb. Check all the bulbs, you can even switch the bulbs from right to left to see if the problem moves. If you have mods done to the lights then you'll have to lists them when asking for help.
Thanks, didnt know that, so it must have been modified, the rear signals are dual element bulbs, i did switch the bulbs, also i connected the right front to left side and works fine, do u know where i may be able to see a wiring diagram, it would be major help, im an elactrician by day, so im quite familiar with voltage, but helps knowing how the system is suppose to work, and when i tested front right, it tested 12 volts, should light up,
