handlebars can generally be made to fit...there may not be a list of bolt on bars but if you find a set of bars you like you can make them work with new throttle cables an clutch cable an extending the wiring. you might want to try a reach seat that pushes you forward an is thin to help you plant your feet. the blackline has the same rear fender as the slim so seats for the slim will fit. I had a blackline seat on my slim for a while so it works. the bars look like a unique design. my guess is with regular risers you can use regular bars that fit you. I couldn't find anything on an offset kit for the pegs, I put a kit on my V rod an that really helped. I also used some mini footboards for better support
You COULD use traditional risers (then avoid bars that are knurled). The mounting holes for the bars are wider than ANY other harley.. even wider than the springer models. Your other issue there is that the speedo mounts dead center on top of the triple tree. Check out Todd's Cycle.. they make some nice taller bars with some pull back specific to the blackline. The entire front end is mostly what is unique to the blackline. The rest of it is just another softail. I'm 5'7. on a breakout. My wife is 5'5" on a fatboy (changed over to forward controls from floorboards). Unless mid controls are your personal desire... correct the handlebars, which will correct your back/hips... your foot controls should feel great after that point. It's an fx style softail, just like the breakout but skinnier. I promise there are plenty of options to do it up the way you like it.
I am plenty tall for the bike, I think the bars are okay, and they look good, I think the seat is just too far back, making it difficult to reach everything in the front.
If I could make the seat of a low rider fit that would be awesome because that seat has extra padding to push me forward.
Maybe you guys know of a shop that could custom fit the stock seat, so that it will push me forward.
A seat replacement will be a lot easier than having to do mechanical alterations like different handlebars that requires longer cables and wires or foot peg relocation.
my main issue is with my shoulders, I feel the stretching on my upper back or blades trying to lean forward to reach the handle bars because I have sunk into the rear fender,, but I can reach the pegs and the ground just fine.
I have noticed that I can relieve the tension by relocating my feet to the rear passenger pegs, when I do that, then the handlebars feels great and also the pressure points on my butt go away, that is why I thought maybe mid point footpegs could help too....
Because it kinds of rotates my stance where am not resting on my tail bone needing extra long arms just to reach forward.
And by the way, I am only 5'8 but I do have extra long extremities for my height and big hands and shoes size 10.5, I usually have no issues reaching anything on any bikes that I have tired until I met the blackline.
And I wish I would not need to change the look of the bike because I love it, I think if I could just come forward two inches I would be fine.... But as it is right now it is a big problem. After 30 min I can't ride anymore.
Maybe am out of shape and need more stretching exercise.
Contact Mean City Cycles and talk to them about rebuilding your seat. It’s possible they can move you forward and their double decker memory foam is great.
Blackline is a Softail. Everything fitting on other Softail variants from 2011 to 13 should fit rather easy. Also the Softail frame prior to the new 2018 model year did not receive much changes over the years, so that age gap should be much longer to 2011-13.
The handlebar should a very easy change but you would need to add risers, which in the BL variant are part of the handlebar. Harley used this type of handlebar prior in the CVO Dyna Super Glide of the 07/8 model year if I remember well.

So if I go the route of changing the handlebars, what are my options, I do not see that many out there? Someone said not to deal with JPC, so which is a better store to deal with?
I am starting to think I my have to take a lost and trade the bike for something else, I am not very mechanical inclined and this is getting complicated.
I might have to look for a grampa more comfy bike instead of style and looks.
