Any ideas?
Just bought an 05 Softail Deluxe. Previous owner installed an after market alarm, funky purple lights and a power commander. After 300 miles the bike died, like I ran out of gas. Took it to the closest Harley mechanic to me and he said one of those components was shorting out the fuel pump. The alarm, lights and power commander were removed and all fuel lines and check valve replaced, also installed a CCT fuel optimizer. The bike runs great as I power up and go through gears. When I'm cruising at 60 in 4th gear and 70 in 5th the bike cuts out like its lost power or its not getting steady fuel flow. It literally bucks me for a split second. Doesn't seem to do it at lower rpm's. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. And this is the 4th Harley I've owned. The other 3 had carburetors, SU / S&S Super and never had a problem like this. Thanks, Brian

Any crap in the fuel tank or on the filter attached to the pump? Have the mechanic inspect and clean. Shine a light into the tank and look for debris or water when tipping the bike side to side.
