Default stock seat rebuild

I have a 98 fatboy with the stock seat. I bought a Corbin to replace it, and although I like the feel of the Corbin, I think the stock seat looks better on the bike. I remember reading some previous posts where some of the members had their stock seat rebuilt. Can someone send me a link to a company that provides this service, or a company name?

That looks like a great idea. I had no idea someone would upgrade an existing seat. I was looking at different seats but didn't see anything I liked. I think mine will be going out at endof the season.

Wait for a rainy day, pull the staples on the stock seat, reshape with an electric knife (formally thought to be used to carve turkeys), add foam from garden kneeling pad if needed, sand down rough spots with coarse sandpaper, cover with food wrap film, put cover back on and reverse step 1.Way too easy actually and worst that can happen is you turn a nearly worthless seat into worthless seat and buy another stock seat on EBay John

I tried an internal gel pad on our stock '05 Fatboy seat and it gained me some miles but if we go over 100 miles, we're still getting a sore a$$. Mean City Cycles said they use memory foam and with a soft cover, it may help a lot but I couldn't go without a seat right now. I decided last week to pass on a chrome front end and get a new seat before Sturgis. Although I wanted a two up with a low profile, my wife's butt needs decent padding too. Most of the seats out there don't have a passenger area as wide or as thick as the stock seat so I decided to try the HD "Fatboy Sundowner Deep Bucket" - part #51570-00A. The seat just came tonite and I made the swap. The cover seems a lot softer but when I got on, it pushed me forward at least an inch, maybe more. Because of the straighter back support area, my "move around" area is a lot more restricted and that sucks. Another thing I noticed was the wobble in the passenger seat area. It sways a lot left to right and there's no way to secure it. This thing's getting returned...

Unbelievable prices too Bob is good though and deserves what he gets paid for a seat.
