Heritage Bag Fix

My 1992 Heritage Classic was suffering from the leather saddle bags sagging due to the plastic stiffener in the front edge of the bag breaking. I went to Lowes and got a piece of aluminum and some stainless steel screws and acorn nuts. I drilled and tapped the aluminum bar, screwed in the bolts and capped them with the acorn nuts.

If you put nuts, why did you bother with drilling and tapping the bar?

I installed a got saggy bags kit in my 06 Heritage when they were fairly new. Almost 13+ years later, the still look new.

Well crap, I tossed my broke, sagging, worn out side sacks; had I know something like that would have solved my sac sagging I would have kept them. Been turning my bike into a gangster slowly, but now I want to find another set.
