Just picked up my bike from the dealer Thursday. They installed zippers 587 cams. Called V&H support who then sent my phone the correct map. Stood next to the bike when I picked it up and flashed the new map. Fired it up and runs great. No hesitation and no popping. Could I have gotten a few more ponies out of a dyno tune, maybe. I had used the tuner for 2 riding seasons with just a high flow ac and exhaust with great results but was worried using it with cams. Just writing to let everyone know about my great experience using fp3 with cams. If you have been thinking about it, do it!

You may not have to call if you see your cam already listed in the library or list of cams to chose from. I only called because my particular one was not listed. However, they did have a map for that particular cam (as well as many others), they just did not have it included in the last user interface update. Between my FatCat 2-1, D&K outlaw air cleaner, fp3, and now zippers 587 cams, my butt dyno is very happy.
I had a good result too....I installed TW-555 cams with a DK customs high flow air cleaner an V&H softail duals.....my map was available without having to call an the bike ran great on it. I never auto tuned since it ran so well...the FP3 may not squeeze every last drop of power out of a combo but it gave me a solid performing tune

Probably a good thing you didn't run auto tune because the rep I spoke with told me NOT to run the auto tune feature with cams, strictly a stage 1 feature. I didn't ask why that is, probably should have.
I have a set of Andrews 48H cams sitting on my bench , just waiting for the right time to install them . Looking forward to seeing what they will do with the FP3 dialed in properly .
Thanks for posting your experience , always reassuring .
Well...
Installed the tw-555s with the FP3 on my 15 flhtk. Fuel moto 4.5 jackpots and v&h power duals.
running extremely rich both cylinders and wont maintain a smooth idle..
going to try auto tuning..
I think what you should do is contact V&H . Using your V&H program upload your map to V&H along with an email with a detailed message of whats going on , all changes made to the bike and your vin # . They will review your map and make the proper changes and send it back .
I've had to do to do this and the results were excellent .
