Yeah, it's a big damn spacer, extends right out. Not that great looking but you don't really have a choice, unless you want to get a chrome one. (Not the long spacer, I mean the piece the peg goes on.
And yeah, you wanna get to the strut nut, you gotta take the toolbox off, or not off, but loosen it. That's not too bad, you just loosen the screws inside the box and it drops enough to get to the nut.
Hmm I would need either a little pin holder mount or a long one, I measured the hexagon fugly spacer and that's 3" alone, then to have some clearance from that I'd need about 2 and a quarter more than that. Wonder what chrome foot peg support is 5 1/4 long(total length)... bet that's spendy piece of metal lol.. the dealer only had one.. f'n stupid fks.. 2 1/4 chrome foot peg support in stock
I guess I go back tomorrow to see if they have a 5 1/4 one..(well 2)
I'm gonna order some accutronixs folding pegs for them tomorrow as well.. to match the forward control pegs.. only the grips on the bars will differ.. and not that much either.. ISO.. hehe oh well pegs arnt grips they don't have to MATCH
