I noticed a small amount of oil blown against the oil tank and the front of the right saddle bag.
My HD mechanic said that this is very common and he put his finger on the inside of theair filter cover and that produced more oil on his finger. He also showed me the hose that it is coming from. The hose is an "S" shaped hose about 3 inches long.
I am no mechanic, but I want to start to try to some of this minor work myself.
I took the cover for theair filter off and also the too long polished bolts at the top of and either side of theair filter. I had thought that this would allow me to take theair filter off but it did not.
I am unable to get to that "S" hose unless theair filter is off.
Put the 2 long bolts back like they were and put cover back on. There is nothing wrong with your ride. This is oil blow by out of the heads and unfortantly is normal on a HD especially at higher rpms.
