Hey fellow riders,
I'm going to be moving my 04 Heritage Classic from Texas to Washington State. I was going to rent a 8 to 10ft closed trailer, but they want way too much($800). So I was wondering if anyone could recommend a reliable, sturdy, not too costly, bike trailer. I've seen a lot on the internet, but I would like to hear from someone who has actually used one they could recommend.
I envy you going to WA.Im from West Texas ...You might try JP cycles .They have a few .but all I have seen are very pricey.1500.00 to 2000.00 ..Try a U haul enclosed ..I wouldnt think they would be that costly..There is whats called a bike-in -bag,but I wouldnt use it for a long haul, small tires. I use a horse trailer..pulls good ..Paid 500.00 for it.All it needed was new tires ..15 " .(used) ...It has a roof and semi open sides. It also has a ramp that makes it easy to ride your scoot into.Check it out....Slight modification for tie downs..nothing else. You can pick up a front tire guide through JP cycles from 20.00 to 100.00.that bolts to the floor ..enough said ,Have a safe trip ..Long ole roads in Texas !
When I transferred from SC to MS, and then came back to TX, I used a little trailer I got from Sears. It had to be assembled, cost about $250 with the mc rail, and is still doing duty around the place.
