Not lowballing. NADA books it at 10 low to 12 high. 11 is in the middle. He has it for sale on line for 12500 and has not had one looker. He has had one guy ask if he would take a car for trade Doggie day care is 25 a day per dog. that is 10 x2 x25 which is 500 a month. Sounds like you would use your family
Dude - its a low ball. Plain and simple.. just because things are slow does NOT mean the value is diminished - that is your confusion. Your brother bike is worth 12k plus all day long.

Well, that was his offer. If it was worth 12 then he has it at 11.500 on CL and no one is looking so I think you do not have the pulse of what prices are doing. NADA has it high retail 12k.

Maybe it went over your head, but the total for the bike would be 11k, 7 Cash and 11 months of taking care of the dogs at 350 a month for 8 days a month. Seems very fair to me for both sides. He sells a bike he can not ride and sell for 11500 and I get a bike at a fair price and take care of his problem for 11 months. Seems like everyone wins.

Ed, I dont give a crap about NADA. Im in the business. CL is a suckers bet. End of the day I dont care how long something sits. Value is value. Just because its sitting doesnt mean lower value. You are failing to comprehend this. Tha Galves book has this bike at 8500.00 (this is the dealer book). All NADA does is accumulate via data mining. It does not discount the mercy sales or the high ball sales. It does not account for the fact your brothers bike has no miles. It just takes an average - thats it. Look on Ebay to see sold comps. Look at dealer asking and discount 10 - 15% for realistic consumer retail. Your basis is NADA and the fact the bike sat. Personally, I really dont care what you and your brother do. I think its WAY cool of him to give you a bro deal but your initial thread is a lowball. Thats all Im discussing
You asked for opinions - you have mine and its professional based, not emotional based. IMO - your trying to make your ends justify your means or what ever logic your choosing. SOmetimes opins that are not the same as your hurt (this was not a hurtful or spiteful reply). Just different then you expected. The dollar amount is different. The dog walking discount is different, etc etc and its not just me saying it...
Like I said what you and your brother do I have no dog in the fight, you asked, I told, nothing more...
End of my story - 12.5k for this bike is fair, not a bargain but fair..
