I have a 93 springer softail that Im swapping bars on. The previous owner butchered the wiring by extending the wiring to fit a set of ape hangers. Does anyone know the name of the pins that plug into the frame? Ive come up with 2 names, dupont and duetsch. I’m thinking duetsch may be for later models than 93..... confusing....
Deutsch is mentioned in my '18 Softails service manual. Deutsch and Packard are mentioned in my '04 Softails service manual. I didn't see dupont mentioined but didn't look super closely in the '04.
I replaced my factory connectors with Weatherpak style connectors because they are much easier to find and they can be easily disassembled and reassembled. I would recommend buying a WeatherPak or a Metripak connector "kit" so you have several different configurations of connector bodys to choose from. You can find them at Jegs.
