Default Swingarm conversion help

This may be a stupid question but i'm not real familiar with softail design. I have a custom softail, not sure of the year it is titled as a 2003 reconstruction. It has a 250mm wheel on the rear and i'm not fan, so I wanted to know if it is possible to swap out the swingarm and downsize on the rear? I see a ton of threads going the other way so i'm assuming its possible to go smaller as well, just wondering whats involved? Any help would be appreciated.

Assuming your bike started as a 2003 Softail and a Phatail kit was used then I would think you would have a case of swaping back your original parts? See the Tech sheet for the parts included with their conversion and the steps to install the kit. https://www.performancemachine.com/t...tallation.aspx You have to uninstall all of the kit parts and reinstall the stock parts.
If your bikes conversion involved welding and other frame modifications it may be more involved.

No not the builder, and I'm not even sure it's a 2003. It's titled as an 03 but it's mostly custom. Honestly I'm not even sure if it started off as a Harley or was just custom built from the start.

I had Fat Tire Fever and traded by 03 Dyna for a Rocker C. Was too much work for me to convert the Dyna to a wide tire. Now I too am over it and went back to a Road King You may find someone looking to trade, worth posting? Best of luck!

I'll try to get a better picture of the rear section later but here's one so you have an idea.

Really need pics of the other side.

Appears to be an EVO style custom...I would be surprised if there is a Harley part on it.

First you need to see if the swingarm has an offset like the pic below...if it does you probably have a standard width frame...

BUT you almost surely have a primary/trans offset that you will have to remove and get standard parts.

It has no frame horns to you will have to use a strutless fender...which suck for 2-up riding.

And you will have to have a custom seat made if you are going to keep those tanks.

I would ride it as is...or sell it and get what you really want .

and yeah most of the bike is not original but someone put a lot of money into it. I was going to try to sell it but wanted to have a plan "b", the thing runs great, sounds awesome and could be fun to ride, but that rear wheel is just not me. I also have to change the extended forwards that are on it, i'm 6 ft and can just reach the controls. Anyway I was figuring if I could change the rear section and the tank I would definitely be able to enjoy it more.

I posted a pic of the other side above hopefully that gives you guys a better perspective.
