Default Chrome levers

I bought chrome brake/clutch levers. Brake went smooth as glass. Clutch on the other hand
looks alttle more difficult. I'm going to get the service manual tomorrow but like most I'm
impatient. Was wondering if anyone had advise on how to change this. Thanks

follow the cable down and you will see a rubber cover in line. Underneath this cover you will see what looks like a bolt and nut with the cable attached at both ends. Turning this will loosen or tighten the lever's "play". Loosen it so you have a lot of play on the lever. Remove the pin on the lever as you did on the brake side. You should now be able to bring the cable (exposed wire portion) through the crack in the mount. Once you do this remove the plastic peg which hold the cable in the lever. Change out lever and reinstall in the reverse order. When you go to tighten the bolt at the bottom to reduce your play, tighten while watching the lever. You will see it move closer with each turn. When it makes contact and you begin to feel resisitance, turn the nut back 3/4 - 1 turn. This should give you the space about the width of a dime between the lever and mount. The clutch should engage about halfway into the squeeze. When done, squeeze the lever a few times to allow for adjustment and to make sure its comfortable for you. When satisfied, slide the rubber cover back over the adjuster to protect it.

mark a little line on the adjustment screw with a sharpy and tighten it back up to that line..takes the guessing out of the adjusting

I did mine without the manual, just do what was said above and you'll be fine.

And while you have it apart, it's a good time to go ahead and put some lubricant on the cable. Just a little PM.

mine was easy!!!! al i did was pulled the lever in. stuck a pair of vice grips on the cable...just tight enough to hold it out....not doing damage to the cable, and swapped em....no adjustment needed.... It worked great!!!
