Hi guys
Got a 2012 Fatboy...I'm hearing some strange duck like sounds coming from my front end... Usually comes when I'm slowing down and turning into a drive way... Can't find anything... Does anyone know what I'm talking about or am I going crazy? Just comes out of nowhere...
How many miles on it? Based on your description, my first though is a wheel bearing. They will sometimes make a creaking or as you say duck like noise. It could also be a brake pad squawking, but I think that's doubtful..
"Duck like sounds?" Do you mean like quacking, clunking, squeaking, what?
Thanks for getting back to me...
Weird .... It's a slight quack.. not sure if it's coming from the wheel... Happens real fast.. can't figure it out... It's usually at low speeds during a turn

13k miles... Not sure if it's coming from the wheel.. sounds closer
Might be natural front brake noise. This kinda sounds like what you are describing. If it is only when you slow down and use front brake most likely this is it. Hear this one for last 15 years on my Sporty and now Slim -same exact noise.
As strange as it is my 86 flt had a weird sound that i thought was coming from the front, ended up being a sheared front pulley retaining plate that was slinging around.Put the bike up, and spin the rear tire and take a listen just to rule that out.I was chasing that sound for a while.
