i have a 2018 Fat Bob 114. I have Vance and Hines slip ons, screaming eagle heavy breather and FP3.
My FP3 shows engine temps between 270 and 290 while cruising. Does this sounds normal. I thought with the bike being oil cooled it would run cooler.

The temperature senders are in a different spot on the M8's so they read hotter but they are not.
Make it a scratch richer of you're still worried.

Ill be honest, Im running the Vance and Hines Map that was on the FP3. I am not sure how to richen it up. If you know how please fill me in. Thanks for your reply.

Do a Google search on auto tuning with the FP3. I quickly found an excellent tutorial on how to use it. But had trouble copying the link. You have to learn how to use your tuner to take advantage of it. A few auto tune sessions should get you as close as you can get. I don't have any experience with the FP3. But regardless of which tuner you use don't be tempted to get carried away with adding fuel. That presents its own problems.
OP, those temperature readings are not abnormal. If you'd like, as was suggested by badcooky, I can richen the map up a tick for you. Connect to the bike and FP3 app and go to 'Customer Support'. Send me an email there while you're connected to the bike and remind me of what's going on.

As badcooky said, the temperature sensor position has been moved, so the range of readings you get on an M8 will not compare to what you would have seen on a TC or something else.
My 2018 Fat Bob generally reads in that same range, but on a long run on a hot day it'll climb into the 320's.
New 2018 Fat Bob. Vance and Hines slip ons and FP3 tuner. Just over 500 miles. Long ride and cylinder head temp 320 with oil temp 244 F.

What's the ambient temperature when you are seeing these engine temps? Mine runs about 200-210 above ambient while on the highway. If it was me, I wouldn't be dumping more fuel into it if it's already tuned properly.
