Default Rode the new FXDR today

The Harley demo truck was at my local dealer today with all the 2019 models and so I took a few for a spin. First the new FXDR. Great riding bike. Lotsa power. I own an 18 fatbob and the FXDR seems a little more powerful to me. Maybe it's just me. Riding position is very vrod like. Looks, well, let's just say I wouldn't trade mine in for it. Handles and rides well. Loved the power, just not much else. Does seem well sorted.
Also rose the new Road King Special and Street Glide CVO. Road King was very impressive. 114 is great in this bike. Felt a lot like my RKS with the torque cam. Very smooth and torquey. 114 really fits this bike well and is in all the touring models now. Great move. The Street Glide CVO did not impress me. Not sure why, has ALL the bells and whistles, but the 117 didn't seem anymore powerful than the 114 to me. I should add that all the bikes were brand new with no miles on them so not broken in. Of course this is all just my opinion and we all know about those lol

The FatBob 114 and the FXDR are rated 1 ft-lb. of torque apart......the FXFBS having 118 - the FXDR 119. The two are also only 8 pounds away from each other in running order weight with the FatBob being the heavier one. Both listed with the same gear ratio's.

Good for you & I'm sure it's fast, but that's a "ton" of ugly bike (IMO). Not for me, but sure there are others who disagree & will sound-off.

Thanks for the review. Glad to hear the 114 RKS was nice. I traded my ‘16 RK for my ‘18 Heritage with zero regrets, but I bet the new motor would have made that harder. Love the ‘19 in the Salt White and the dark blue.

WOW I rarely post on here and just figured some would be interested in an opinion on a new model test ride. Guess not. And I was told by the dealer that all touring models will come with the 114. That apparently is not true. My bad on that one

yes. The FXDR handles corners quite well. Just too funky looking.
