Installed our re-done stock mufflers on our 2013 softail Deluxes from American Custom Exhaust out of CT. They knock out the stock Harley baffles and install their standard ones. Louder, beautiful sound and wonderful performance. Had to install an FP 3 fuel pack which took care of the decel pop. Very satisfied with the whole deal. Have noticed that occasionally, my wife will be riding in front of me and when she comes out of 1st gear into 2nd, there is a slight pop. Doesn't happen all the time, but wonder if anyone has ever experienced and "acceleration pop" as opposed to a "decel pop"?
Yes Robert JO: She is twisting the throttle up most definitely. She's been riding for almost 30 years. Like I say, it's very intermittent, just once in a while. It usually starts to happen after we've ridden for 15 or 20 minutes.
Maybe the tune just needs a slight tweak to it. Could be a bit lean under certain conditions. Otherwise above poster that mentioned a possible exhaust leak at the heads would be worth inspecting.
Same pipes and tuner on a '16 Heritage and it happens exactly the same way with me. Just as I shift, POP! What map are you using? As I recall, I'm using the Twin Slash with a competition baffle map. My ACE pipes are the least restrictive they offer. Nice and deep. In a way, I'm happy to hear it's not just me......
