This is what I'm dealing with and was told the controls were extended 3" further than they already were when it was still stock. If anyone can tell from the pics what I might need to purchase in order to get back to the stock set up I would really appreciate it.

Yo, if you look from the front where your controls are mounted, you will see them mounted most likely on a black plate. So easy peasy...
take the controls off, remove the plate/bracket, install controls back into original 3 holes. Duplicate other side. Then, most likely a shift linkage was added, just unthread locknut on both sides of it, screw in the shank on both sides 1-1.5 inches, lock down the nuts, your golden
You might have some slack in your brake line also, just move it accordingly

Well I have a quick question too. Hate to ask on this thread but, we are all deuce owners. I recently purchased a 2004 CVO Deuce, I removed the backrest but the three studs are on the rear fender still..... do they thread in from the bottom of the fender? My hand is too big to get under the fender because of the tire. Sorry OP, hope you dont mind me asking a question here.

Jeff thanks a bunch. I will try that shortly and see what ends up working. As far as the fender/bolts/backrest, mine has an aftermarket seat and fender that has no holes or bolts in it. Good luck and sorry I have no idea what to tell you on that but glad you asked on here. Thats what the forums all about!

If you can return it I can sell you mine and you can sell me your brackets
