Seat recommendations anyone? I rode for the first time long distance and the stock seat has to go. Was looking at Sundowner or Hammock seats. I think the Hammock is best but it looks too big. I don't want it to take away from the Badassery.
I have used Corbin seats for years and really like them for long distance. I sat on a Hammock on a FB and it felt really good in the parking lot but like you I thought it looked a little big but I am still considering it. I still have the stock seat and it was good on a 3k mile ride using an Air Hawk.
The Saddlemen Explorer is comfy but if I had it to do over I'd pay the extra for the model with backrest, as neither Ultimate or Mustang appear to be in a hurry to offer a solo seat with backrest.

I'll give them a call. It would be great if they do swap. They're close to $200 cheaper than the Explorer with backrest. I wonder why they're not listing the Fat Boy. Guess I'll find out.
They list it as a Breakout seat, but they are the same seat. My HD Tallboy is for both models.
Just got off the phone with Steven at Mustang customer support Mchad. The breakout seat will not fit the fat boy. However he said they are very close to putting seats for all the other 18 softails out for sale. Should be within a couple of weeks.

Hmm, that seems odd, since the HD seats fit both. Oh well, they would know I guess. I was thinking I'd eventually go with a Mustang Wide Touring as I've had on my last two bikes, but I'm liking this Tallboy so maybe not...
I will probably wait until Spring and see if Ultimate is offering a rider's with backrest by then. I've had multiple Mustangs and one Ultimate. The Ultimate worked better for me and was more comfortable. Each to his own tush though
This Explorer seat is very comfortable. I just wish it had a backrest.
