Default Velocity Stacks

Is anyone out there using velocity stacks? What are the pros & cons? Will they work well with a CV carb? I'm leaning toward Thunderheaders and I want to come up with an air cleaner that works and looks good. Thanks!

Velocity stacks ain't air cleaners. Some of 'em have a little filtration available, but most don't. Even the best filtration available with a velocity stack is too little, or renders the stack useless. Bottom line is they be poser-crap on a street bike, but will makeyour engine builder happy 'cause he's gonna get a lot of work!

I agree with pococj. Actually, if you go to buy a velocity stack (such as Ness), they give you a disclaimer that states the velocity stack is for show bikes only and they are not to be used with street bikes. That should say it all!
