Default Does this exhaust look right to you?

Hi all. I’m new to the forum here and was looking for some advice on a bike I just purchased. 2018 Softail Heritage 114.

On the showroom floor this bike was upgraded to a rienhart exhaust. I told the salesman who was trying to charge me 700 for them, I wanted the stock exhaust put back on when I picked it up four days later. They agreed...
i looked at the exhaust today at pick up andasked if this was the stock exhaust? They replied “oh yea”. I’ve never seen this bike with black heat shields. So after getting her home and doing a little research they don’t look anything close the the stock exhaust. The heat shields look like they’re from a street bob and who knows about the mufflers??

Why would they put black heat shields over the mufflers? Are these even the proper muffler for this bike and motor? Plus they did a **** job. The lower one is scratching the upper and there’s a couple bent areas from a previous clamp or install. Can someone enlighten me on this matter?

Thank you for any help

Look on the back side of the mufflers with a mirror or remove the heat shields. There's usually a part number for the muffler stamped on plus some EPA info. Look up the number and see what they fit. Yours doesn't look like Heritage cans but I may be wrong.

Not sure if they changed the pipes from ‘18 to ‘19 but those do look odd. This is what was on my ‘Heritage Classic......

Go to h-d.com..click motorcycles...scroll to near bottom of page...click 2018 models....scroll to your bike and click. In my opinion the mufflers and heat shields you have are not even close.

Looks to me like they just slapped on a set of slip ons that were laying around.

Not stock. Technically it’s illegal for dealers to swap exhaust before purchase on a new factory bike. I know some do it, but it’s a no-no.
