I've been meaning to see if pre-18 lowers fit too. They may but I need to drive to the shop and try some. Might take some fitting around the oil cooler and lower frame. Temps in the lower 20's this AM so they would be nice.
The Genuine HD Soft Lowers from previous years will fit the bars, but the buckles on the straps will not fit between the frame and the oil cooler. I had to cut the male buckle off and use wire ties to hold it on. Invisible to the eye unless you get down and inspect how they are held on.
I've ridden my Desert Dawg soft lowers for about 2K miles.
+ They look nice.
+ They are stitched very well.
+ The snaps and top strap are easy to attach.
+ They block the wind.
- They are a bit expensive.
- They don't block as much wind as the HD touring soft lowers
- The bottom velcro attachment thingies are a bit weird to work with.
