Default Water in the transmission

I have had a 2007 Night Train four about 4 months. First service, no problem but now at the second service (around 7000 mile) the mechanic found water in my transmission fluid. He said there was a breather tube under the bike that might have let it in. I have riden in the rain a couple of times and I did wash it off with a hose. Has any one else had this proablem? Any sugestions on how to fix it?

I have heard of it hapening from the shop that services my bike. It may have been located in such a way that water that was coming up off the back tire was entering the hose.

That's odd. My 07 custom has about a 4" moulded hose that comes out of the top of the tranny, over to the right side and then bends down at the nuetral switch. At first I thought water might puddle there and when the tranny cools off the vacume would suck water in, but further checking showed that water won't sit in there and the end of the hose if about 1/4" above the case.

I had the same problem , it comes from the clutch adjuster boot holding water , then running inside tghe cable to the transmission. I pulled the boot back so the water would drain out , solved the problem.
