For those who've done the swap already done the swap and put the flh front end on the fxstb the for tubes them self are about 2" shorter, so that alone is going to lower the front end right? So in combination with the progressive lowering kit I should be 3-4" lower than stock right?
Just been looking at other builds for people who have fatboy lo's and that put shorter for tubes and drop kit but complaining about limited fork travel. I want mine low as possible but still able to ride and comfortable.
this is harley_sr. I made a new account. Yeah I understand that lol. Guess to simplify things. Putting the FL forks on my FXSTB the fl fork tubes are 2” shorter. So will that alone drop the front 2” on my bike or is there a different stance between the frames? Like longer down tube on one vs the other?
Then on top of the fork swap I’m putting the progressive drop in springs for additional drop.
If you want ultra low with ridability, you can go for air suspension at front.
Compressor is installed in the nacelle housing.
ive got the shotgun rear for the bike now, I’ve takked to a couple memeber that have airride on the front and couple of them said they were taking it off or have it removed for reliability issues.
If if I get a 2nd bike I may go that route on this one but for now I’ll keep it conventional

Maybe that’s a little more clear
The rake in the neck is different between the 2 bikes. Yes that'll drop it 2", Don't drop it more it'll mess with your turns.
