Default Front lowering kits- Which one???

I need to lower the front of my bike about 2", but there are a bunch of kits out there. I was looking into the Progressive drop in kit, but from what I have seen it isn't "drop in". Still have to pull the fork legs out, so if I am going that far, might as well pull it all apart and powdercoat the lowers while I am at it..... SO, drop in kit, burley, monotube???????? AAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

My vote is for the progressive monotubes. Mine is lowered an inch but the ride is great and the front end just seams to track better in corners. So much better than stock.

Yup two or one inch, heard two inch makes for a pretty stiff ride, although Im thinking of switching mine from one to two for more low

Default Lower the

bike and it will scrape the floorboards-That takes the fun away from fast cornering.Maybe you don't mind making sparks.

Nope, dont mind making sparks. I'll play around with the height. Leaning towards the spring kits with a heavier weight oil.........

I have the DBI Drop in kit from BKRider. It's pretty much the same as the drop in kit from Progressive but a fraction of the cost. I had the Monotubes before this setup but I needed to go lower than 2" so I went with the drop in kit. For sure the Monotubes felt a whole lot better than my lowering kit now.

Progressive drop-in with 2" drop worked great for me but expect sparks. Changing the fork oil to 10 wt helped settle the ride.

I went with the progressive full kit (non drop in). It requires full tear down of the forks whereas the drop in only requires that the fork assembly be removed from the bike. No tear down required for the drop in kit. I also installed the Ricor Initminators and run stock weight oil with it 2" lowered. Bit stiffer than stock, but unless you really nail a pothole, haven't had any issues bottoming out. Also have the rear lowered 2" with the cheapo bolt kit.

Maybe I don't ride as hard as some, but never had any problems with the Train forwards hitting the pavement. They set pretty high, and haven't scraped them since I lowered it. I've scraped the swingarm bag and the pipes in off camber corners, but never hit the pegs. If you did the board conversion, different story.

Exclamation Lowering

Just a safety warning, do not lower your front more that the rear of the bike!...... But you might know that already.
