Default P0562 code

2006 Road King Classic.
Both yellow engine light and red battery light came on. I checked the code and reset. Runs great. About a month ago, when I turn on the ignition, After both yellow and red lights go off, yellow would come back on for about 6 to 8 seconds then go off. Still runs great.
This weekend I stopped for gas and the bike wouldn't start. Just kept trying to start but wouldn't turn over. After about 5 tries it started. Figured I might have some trash in the tank because I did run it pretty low before refueling.
The next morning, I rode to the store. Bike wouldn't start again. I tried about three times. Just keeps trying to turn over but won't. For the hell of it, I cleared the 0652 code and the bike started. I don't know if these are connected or not. Any ideas?

It sounds like you're describing a failing or failed stator. The code suggests that too (P0562 Battery/ECM Voltage Low). You need to stop by the dealer and have them check it, before you wind up stuck with a dead bike on the side of the road..

Start you bike, read the voltage at the battery terminals when running. If should be above 14 at idle. If it's lower and increases above 14, or never goes above 14 when you rev, you need to check the stator. You can smell it if you remove the primary inspection cover - it will smell like burned wiring.
