I believe you should have the CV40 carb. They are a good carb, and easy to tune. Do some reading about tuning it... just don't rush to drill stuff (a popular mod that's really not needed/good to do)
You may end up too rich if you just throw in new jets...
Start by tuning the mixture screw. That may cover your mods. If the mixture screw is opened too many turns (I think it's 3.5+) then you need to move up one on the pilot jet... then check for the main... etc. Let how the bike runs/tunes tell you what/if you need to add jets
FWIW... I have an OEM CV40 on my '01 88ci. I added V&H big shot exhaust (very free flowing exhaust) and a Screamin' Eagle air cleaner... I was able to dial in my bike, keeping the stock jets. I went with a different needle and adjusted the mixture screw... runs excellent
If the change is just the hypercharger and not including a hi flo filter, then likely no rejetting needed. Hypercharger is mostly for looks and not for performance gains.
