Default Installed apes, bike won’t start

I installed ape hangers, now bike just turns over and will not start. I got spark and when I disconnect fuel
line from tank, fuel sprays out. Is it possible to have a wire crossed in the handle bars that would keep it from starting? I’m at a loss right now.

pinching a wire can cause issues as well, especially can bus models.

Well, found the issue and I have no clue how this happened. I removed the fuel line from quick connect and I had a dribble. Stuck a dowel in the fitting, thinking maybe it just needed to be seated. Dowel went up all the way into tank. So I removed the fitting from tank to find that the check valve was gone??? No idea what happened to it. It literally disappeared...no trace of it or spring. The oring that holds it in was still in place....went to local deal, got whole new valve and internal fuel line for under 50. Slapped it in and fired right up...I do not know how to explain the check valve missing. I drove this bike home from where I bought it last Tuesday, wired the bars internally and then this happened. I’m at a loss.
