Default Softail Shocks

I'm sure this one has been ground into dust, but what are the best riding (stock height) rear shock absorbers for the 00 & newer softails. Not air-ride, but just nice riding shocks thatI can firm up if I decide to ride two up. Wife has her own scoot so it's rare.

As far as front, would you just put the stock springs back in the forks, or go White Bro's or . . .

Obviously I'm putting her back up to stock height.

Thank you

Check out Progressive, I think they make one of thebest setupsaround.
Not cheap, but then you get what you pay for.

Yes, this subject has been covered a LOT. I have Progressives front and rear. Rear is also down around 1 1/2", front down 1". Quality pieces and pretty darn pricey for rear. It did improve the ride, no more bottoming...just wish it had improved incrementally with cost...no regrets and a serious improvement. Air is the way to go if you can justify the $ and complexity as anyone who has ridden an air ride HD of any model will attest. John
