I'm upgrading my 2017 Slim S suspension this winter. Shotgun shock in back but want to fix up the front end as well. Does anybody know if the common Breakout mod with Ricor Intiminator and Race Tech springs works well with the Slim? If you have any alternative suggestions I'm all ears.
I had a '13 Slim with the Shotgun in the rear and Progressive Monotubes up front.
The ride was outstanding, so much so that I stayed with the stock seat... That oughta tell you something.
For the front, I went with the Ricor Intiminators and stock springs on my 2013 Slim.
I did not want the front lowered. It was a big improvement. I can not compare it
to the monotubes as I have never ridden a bike with those installed.
I'm heavily leaning towards the Ricor Intiminators and Race Tech springs. Is it best to remove the fork legs or leave them on the bike while performing the swap?

Can probably do it either way. In my case, I removed then since I was totally dissasembling them so
I coud get the sliders powdercoated gloss black. I went ahead and got a fork rebuild kit and
installed new Amsoil ShokTherapy as well.
Same boat as you and I guess I need to give Racetech a call. I don't understand why they list up to a '17 Slim for their springs, but only up to a 15 Fatboy.
