Hey guys, I picked up a new set of custom dynamics led tail lights. I’m definitely happy with them. The pictures do them no justice! Very bright and definitely look pretty cool!!! I felt the stock tail lights were just not bright enough!! Not that any brightness is going to help when somebody is paying more attention to their phone texting and not the road.... (freakin drives me crazy when I see people texting and driving) but I’m hoping that it might get a little more attention to the average driver just pulling up behind me.
I’m a big fan of LED’s, both for brightness plus the depth of color definitely calls more attention then filament bulbs. First thing I do to any new bike I’ve ever gotten.
We just went with Custom Dynamics front and rear on my 115th Fatty and my wife's 2017 Sportster 1200 Custom. Frankly, the difference is amazing. These lights are a definite safety feature. I've attached a photo of the Sporty as evidence of their effectiveness. My Fatboy shows up just as well. The two of us ride side by side with our brights on. This makes visibility to people in cages is about as good as it can be. Another plus is the lifetime warranty on Custom Dynamics lights.
I added the Sunpie 7" LED (and it comes with the passing lamps, as well). Wonderful purchase for about $95 on Amazon. Massive difference in visibility from the front. As to the back, I swapped my (single) tail light for the BrightAssLights LED. It has magnet-switchable pattern options. I went with the flash-flash-flash, flash-flash-flash, solid.... option. If any single cager out there things "well, that's annoying", the great! At least they're seeing me!
I also have LED's installed throughout the bike (accent lighting). I don't ride much at night lately, but when I do (and that means leaving work at 5:30, sun's been down...) I flip 'em on for the extra visibility. White only. (Though I need to tie it into my brake circuit...the system I have will go all red when I hit the brakes, then go back to whatever I was on when I release the brake.)
Visibility matters. But I'm still not going to wear a day-glo vest.
My only complaint with LED's is I can't use the blue dot in the tail light. The Led's use a different light spectrum so you don't get the correct effect.

I can’t tell from the pics, are they bullet shaped like stock turn signals ? I’m looking for something that has a lower profile than the stock ones on my fatty because they rub on my saddlebags and I want to replace them with some kind of led set up...
