Default Two Up Riding on Fatboy Vs Dyna Wide Glide

So I have a 2006 Dyna Wide Glide now that I love, but a deal on a beautiful 2007 FatBoy has come my way and just a quick question...on the Dyna there's the rear shock while not the case on FB/Softail models and being that Dyna is my first HD model not really familiar with the nuances of all the other models, etc. so was just wanted to know how 2 up riding is with a FB? Chickie is 140lbs at most, and I am mid 200's but I'd say she's on back at least 50% of time.

Thanks!

Sounds like y'all's weights are about the same as mine and my wife, maybe a little less.

We don't have a problem on my 2016 Heritage. We did tighten up the shock a bit early on, but short of off-roading with it, I don't have any problems hauling the two of us around. I'm not familiar with the Fatboy, but you did mention Softails.

Dyna has a longer shock travel than the softails. Fatboy has a bit more room. At 400 lbs, your at the limit for the FB, weight wise, so if you like twisties or ride bumpy roads, may be a bit rough. See if they will give you a test ride with the two of you.

The Fatboy has shocks, just hidden. We ride 2 up quite comfortably on my ‘06.

The shocks are horizontal in front of the rear tire on soft-tails,

I'm 180 and the wife is 150 and we ride two-up on my Fatboy all the time. We rode from Florida to Biloxi recently and the wife said she never got tired.

That was all interstate though. She definitely feels it when we hit a big bad bump, yelping like a coyote. The first responder is accurate, the Fatboy has less travel than the Dyna.
