HD Tri Bar Led Replacement
My new to me '07 Night Train has a HD Tri Bar LED tail light that doesn't work. I've checked the fuses, harness connections and even removed the light and tried applying 12v +/- to see if I could even get it to illuminate. Plate light works, but no running or brake.
Doing some research it looks like HD's Tri Bar is known to be faulty. I don't want to spend $250 on a light that probably won't last very long. Does anyone make a direct replacement for this light? Also would a stock light fit in the same bracket or do they have separate brackets?

Don't know for sure if they have what you need but I suggest you pull up the Custom Dynamics website. Great products and very good people to deal with. I've upgraded with their turn signals and a controller that turns the brake/run/stop lights on my Tour Pak into somewhat of a strobe/blaster thing that REALLY gets the attention of folks behind me.

Give the CD folks a phone call and see what their suggestion(s) might be. Very helpful customer service staff.

Are you positive the tri bar on the bike is genuine HD? only reason I ask is because I've had the HD Tri Bar for 4 years and almost 20K miles with no issues.. A buddy bought the eBay knock off and has gone through 3 in the same amount of time.The HD light has the HD symbol stamped into it.

Great!!, another thing to worry about, although I wasn't aware of any problem with them and I've had one on my 06 Nightrain for around 5 years with no trouble, so far, touch wood.

Different mounting brackets, yes. I may be removing my trim bar (it's only a month old) and replacing the stock tail lamp, so be on the lookout in the classifieds for a $ saving deal.

There's not a stock light or stock bracket to be found anywhere near me so I rode an hour to the nearest dealership and picked up an Auxiliary Brake/Running/Turn Signal Conversion Kit ( Part Number 69462-06D ). Figured if the rear light didn't work I'd still have running/brake/turn until I find a replacement.
Popped the seat unplugged the rear harness from the main, plugged in the module to the main and rear harness and only the left side works. Blinkers work either side, but run/brake doesn't on the right. Puzzled why the sigs work fine, but not the run/brake.
Forgot to mention I did swap bulbs from left to right. Both bulbs are good, but run/brake only works on left side.
