Have a 2010 Fatboy Lo and I want to upgrade my bars to 8in rise t bars. I was wondering if I need to buy the wire extension kit in order to install them, currently I have Factory bars on. The guy at the parts counter said that I wanted to meet him because the bike is set up that I can install factory Heritage Softail bars. I'm just trying to verify that he is correct.

Reason: Grammar error
Depends how generous the uy building the bike was.
Simple test is to undo the clamp and pull up the bars to see how high you can go.
It varies with type of bars too. I went from 10" buck horns to 10" standard mini apes
and the cables didn't reach due to the different pull back and spread tip to tip.
