I have a Slim S. Far from the fastest bike on the road, but plenty for me. Lots of torque. Mine is a 2017, my main gripe is the noisy engine. The exhaust was really quiet stock. I modified the mufflers a bit, enough to get some sound but not loud at all. I am happy with it. I have been riding for over 50 years and this is the best best bike I have owned.

I went the opposite way you want to go - from newer bikes RushmoreRG, Slim S and M8 SG to my two current softail which are both a 2009 with the 96. 110 faster? Sure was. Do I miss it? No. I find both my 96 to have plenty of grunt with just the stg1 on both. I also had a 2014 Lower Rider. That vibibration on the handlebars is not for me.

heres the slim s I had - I miss the bike but not because of the 110.

I also put a Mustang seat on mine. I am not totally happy with it but it is better than stock one.

I have a 2016 Slim S with a Franknstein trike kit. My wife has a 2012 Deluxe 103 with a Frankenstein kit. Noticeable difference in low end power. It never fails to give me that perma grin. It would be hard for me to do with less now. Go for it.
