well, I picked up my new scoot on 9/29 and as of this weekend have nearly 1,200 miles on her. Some things will need replacing (seat) and some things need tweeking (adjusting handlebars), but here is my question ..is it unique to the 06 Softail or Softails in general - using the floorboards, my right boot seems to keep getting in the way one of the pipes that are located right smack next to the floorboard. Is this typical of this design or am I doing something wrong?
Well, yeah, if you check out this pic, that's the way my fat boy is designed. I noticed it right away. So, I try to just keep my heel away as much as I can. And if not, then just clean it off with one of many different methods. But, it's definitely there.

also kuryakin makes a forward peg that mounts to the floorboard...instead of crash bars they are very clean looking and will give you another option for the position of your feet
When do we get to see a pic of that bad boy? I have been waiting for a post but haven't seen it yet. Did I miss it? If so, direct me to where I can get a look.
I know I know...need to get that pix. It either has been nasty weather outside or on the few nice sunny days I have been trying to pu in the miles - plus, trying to take one pic solo of one on a scoot isn't all that easy when you don't have a timer on there. Guess I could just take it of the scoot.
