I'm about ready to pull my hair out because I can't get a straight answer. I have an 84 Softail that some other smuck played with. Fixing all of his oops and maybe repair work.
So I need to put new forward controls on there, I have to keep my budget down as I'm already over it. I need 2" over controls, and can't seem to find out what the difference is between the controls that are 70-99, 84 only, 84-99, and 86-99 model years. And some say only 86-99 with 5 speed trans. Mine is a 4 speed, kick start with a thunder header.
A little insight please.
