What is a good tuner for my 09 heritage classic? My issue is that I put V.H short shots on and at the header the pipe is getting really hot. Also what’s the difference between a tuner and a fuel pack? With a fuel pac let me adjust the fuel and air mixture?
I put on An FP3, and its a great easy to use tuner. It helped a lot with heat. V&H made a custom map for me specifically to reduce heat. - But it also made a noticeable difference in performance.
Great product, GREAT customer service.

can you adjust everything your self or do you need to bring it to a shop?
I was told to do a stage 2 download even tho I don’t have bigger cams I was told it would make my bike run richer?
I think the custom map they made for me did richen things up a lot to help with the heat. If you buy one, email Cheyne McNab, (fp3tech@vanceandhines.com) and let him know your set up, and he can create a custom map to cool things down for you. He will send it to you via the app, and you just have to upload it to the FP3 thats connected to the bike.
Like I said, they have great customer service.
