Default Lets see your softail windshields

Im considering a windshield for my standard. Now that im wearing a full face helmet my head gets blown around quite a bit at highway speeds and its pretty tiresome for any distance at all. I want something that will direct the wind over my head, but def don't want a big ole ugly thing hanging off the front of my bike.

Windvest
Recurve style helps flip debris over your head
Keeps the wind from beating you in the chest all day too
Tough as nails
It's been down many, many miles of dirt and gravel roads
54k miles and not even a nick in it

Thank you. I was looking at those wondering if they would kick the wind up over your head.

Anyone running a bullet fairing on a standard or custom?

Do you know if they will work with drag bars?

I use the bullet fairing on my Breakout. Works really well. Keeps most of the wind off your chest. Looks much better than a full windshield.

It mounts to the bars just barely past the risers.
The bar mounts can be attached either high or low to adjust the shield up or down a few inches.
The shield mounts have 2 adjustments up or down for fine tuning the height.
It can be rotated forward and backwards too.
Call/write Windvest, they'll know for sure.
Here is a closer pic of the mounting hardware.
FYI....this thing has taken some serious "smacks" in its life.
It's saved me a lot of pain.
And not having the wind beating me in the chest all day makes for a much more enjoyable ride, especially as the days turn into weeks.

I have the 16" LRS on my Fat Boy. Perfect height for me as I'm looking over the windshield and the recurve at the top helps get the air further up. It's quick detach so I can take it off when riding local around town.

I did the same, I have the H-D quick detach that came with an 18" screen, but the top edge was directly in my line of sight so I replaced it with a LRS 16" Recurve.
It's perfect now and with no loss of protection.

A custom National Cycle Fly Screen. Had Gustafsson Plastics make me one.
