2007 Softtail Custom with 26,000 miles question
Have a question about lights, pegs, tires, etc. You can find it here. Just don't ask about oil. LOL.
I believe you chose wisely...
Your '07 has:
Hydraulic cam chain tensioners, no need to change them (like earlier TC engines with spring tensioners) or check them until well over 50K miles
You have the 6-speed. I'd never pay to change from a 5 to 6-speed, but a 6-speed IS nice to have...
You also have the EFI with O2 sensors. This allows for a section of your tune to be closed loop, versus all open loop, like prior year EFI engines. It will allow for a better running, more efficient tune should you add any engine mods and retune...
Have fun and ride safe.....

With those numbers, try an online HD parts vender. You'd be surprised how many old manuals are still for sale from the MoCo, brand new...
You can also check the part number on eBay... I have purchased several unavailable manuals from eBay. Sometimes you can get new old stock, most times they are used. I have purchased both new, and used. The used ones I got, were as described in the ad, and were "lightly" used and in very good condition...
Make sure you always check an online parts vendor first... Once I paid for a new, old-stock, manual on eBay that I thought was too old to be available from the MoCo. Not only was it still available from the MoCo, but I would have paid less.......
FWIW.... I always get all three manuals for my bikes.
The Service Manual gets used all the time, as I do the vast majority of my maintenance and repairs...
The Parts Manual is good for getting parts numbers to check online prices for parts. It also has good exploded diagrams that I reference, along with the service manual, when doing a repair for the first time. I am a visual person
The Electronic Diagnostic Manual is the least used manual, but when I need it... I'm really glad I have it...!
