Just spoke to a tech guy at LA Choppers about their 12-14" kit for ape hangers on softails. He gave me all the lengths, said their kits are measured with 1.5" risers.
Brake line- 54.5" with a 90 degree end at the bar
Clutch cable- 76.5"
Idle cable- 47.66"
Throttle cable- 47.72"
Now I just need to see if I can find a thread where others are sharing cable lengths for apes on their trains and if these lengths are close to what others have used. The tech did say they dont have kits for particular bars for particular bikes
Measured today using some romex wire to run in place. All numbers are measured from crimped end to crimped end. What I now have to figure out is when buying shelf cables (I want plain black vinyl so nothing fancy) what housing length and overall length means for the different manufacturers since it seems the overall lengths for some cables are a lot longer then the housing lengths.
