Default Night train 14" apes cable lengths??

Hey guys,

Just finished installing and my 14" Burly narrow apes on my train, all wiring is currently finished (internally), just need to get my cables ordered. A friend who just got cables for his helped me measure, and so far we have only measured throttle and he is saying +15.5" from stock, which to me seems like too much (also not a big fan of how he is suggesting I run them). Just curious how much over stock you went on all your cables??? Pics of how you routed yours would be awesome!

Here are some pics of mine...toying with doing brake line as hard line the length of the bars, not sure how it would look though

Call magnum shielding and they will be able to tell you what you need. That’s what I did, but I don’t remember what the lengths are.

What was the fitment like? Everything I have read about manufacturers cable "kits" is that they run on the long side, and I dont want extra slack that isnt needed.

Mine are perfect. I told them exactly the bars and they got it right.
I will try to see if I can find out exactly what lengths I have, and let
you know.

This is a good thread and I hope anyone who got it right chimes in. I just picked up a 2003 FatBoy and am going to do a bar swap. It currently has the Harley Street Slammers but it is way to low and close for me. I put the Harley 12 inch Batwing Apes on my SG and with the Brawler seat, it is the perfect fit for me. Thing is, Harley tells you what cables you need for the Batwing Apes. I'm looking to stay on the cheaper side with the FatBoy so any info would be greatly appreciated.

What kind of bars do you have and what size? Do you have any full bike pictures you could post.

I've got to figure out Clutch and brake lengths for my FLTR tonight and am going to put clutch perch on bars with cable running where I want it then measure how much more is needed to get to the transmission. And then make a big mess and do the same with the brake line.
