Hello Everyone; My friend, female, has the Crossbones Softail, with the (HD # 52000279) solo seat. Her thighs are burning up. There are no frame heat shields on her bike.
Were there any (frame heat shields) that came with the bike new? If so, anybody have a part number?
Is Captain Itch the last resort? (Larger open area by the oil tank, with the solo seat than a regular softail)
Otherwise, what are the CrossBones riders doing to keep the heat away from the thigh area?
Don't know of any stock Harley ones so Captain Itch would probably be your best bet. I usually run into the heat problem when stopped at a light coming off the highway. I can usually get around it by a slight stance adjustment though, but I'm also 6'2 so depending on how tall your friend is her options may be more limited lol.
