Engine light code?

Engine light code?
Tried this in the electrical section but got no looks so I'll try here...2000 Heritage engine light came on 2x while highway riding. Went off after about 2-3 minutes while riding. Engine runs well, no driveability issues. Engine light continues to give the "historical code" indicator. See attached video. To me it looks like code 12 which FSM says would be MAP sensor but it's a carb bike. What do you think? Speedo code check all shows "clr" CAL 03.

Keep watching the codes. But, you may have the beginnings of a stator or regulator failure. Mine was doing that on a long trip and then came on and stayed on. The stator had failed. The bad part is I never got a code. Had I seen the code, I'd of picked a better place to completely break down other than a high mountain plain in Colarado..
Hope I'm wrong and it's something simple.

The good news, if it happens only once or twice, it could be just a glitch....
Bad news, it could also mean something is having issues and is about to fail...
I have the two-volume 2001 Electrical Diagnostics Manual... I'll check it later and see what it says..
OK.... Now I'm totally confused...!!!
My 2001 electrical diagnostic manual under "Checking for trouble codes: TSM/TSSM" 3.8, shows that the trouble codes are checked & read through manipulation of the ignition switch, turn signal buttons and read by turn signal flashes.....
My 2003 electrical diagnostic manual shows that the trouble codes are checked & read through manipulation of the ignition switch and read by engine light flashes.
For some reason, your 2000 bike is functioning like my 2003 bike should, I would think it would act like my 2001 bike would... I'm lost
After reading the procedure for the 2003 carbureted engine management, the 6 fast flashes are "intermission" and the code looks like "12" as you have said and that does come back to MAP sensor....
I'm not sure what to think......

Thanks for the replies. After some more digging through the FSM I found a vague reference to the CMP sensor on a carb bike being on the same harness as the MAP. So I'm going to check for probs there. Maybe loose or getting hot.
I did do the procedure for reading on the speedo. All came came up "clr", but still getting the engine light status for "historic" code. I'll find it!

The speedo does display various sensor systems and all show "clr" after them. I did do the jumper and that's what made my light flash in the video. I do believe my crank sensor (CMP) had an issue with moisture but it's under the "points cover" not the derby cover, that covers the clutch and it's on the other side of the bike. I do have have a Factory Service Manual(FSM) as stated in original post.
