It's always been a dream of mine to build a bike from the frame in my spare time. With the winter rapidly approaching I will be spending much more time indoors and therefore would like a project.
I stumbled across this frame on Craigslist here locally and I was hoping to find some more info about it. I've been talking with the owner who said he found it in a storage unit that he won at auction and has no use for it. He said there is a VIN number on it which was run through our local DMV (it has never been registered) and the local police department (where it didn't come back stolen). I'm going to be receiving the VIN tomorrow to confirm both of those things.
In the meantime I'd like to try and ID the frame to get more info out of it. It comes with some forks, a front wheel, two tanks, and some bins of misc parts. I initially thought it was a Kraft/Tech frame, but looking through their catalog doesn't show this exact frame so maybe they've either stopped making it or I'm wrong about the brand.
Defiantly an aftermarket frame ...everybody and their brother made them in the 90's...the vin number will be your best chance of figuring out who made that one...

Thanks to the both of you for the reply. I was thinking the same.
He wants $300 for everything pictured. Not a bad price, but I don't want to get stuck with a crummy frame so I'm hoping the VIN will let us know what it is.
Seeing the top motor mount would be helpful to ID the frame. It's going to be a very wide tire build. If you don't get the mso with the frame it will be a little hard to title the project though. The price is good though

I requested a photo so we can hopefully figure it out.
I ran a check through a random website and it's saying the frame is made by a company called "Showtime Manufacturing" out of Riverside CA.
So I searched around on Google to figure out if I could find out what the World Manufacturer Identifier was linked to from the VIN he gave me and I found this PDF saying it was assigned to Sunridge Industries out of San Luis Obispo, CA.
That manufacture doesn't ring any bells for me either.
