Default Greetings

I'm based in NewZealand riding a year 2000 nightrain ..I have a technical problem id like advice or a diagnosis...when I throttle off/ decelerate there is what i would describe as a chin king noise that seems to be coming from the left hand side..possibly the clutch area but as it only happens when the bike is being ridden its hard to tell...any ideas? Thanks.
